Baptism, Christening and Communion gifts for older children
For the First Holy Communion of the child, rosaries are appropriate gifts. There are many types of rosaries you can buy from religious store whether live or on the internet. Some are made of plastic. Others are made of plain or fragrant wood. You can also find rosaries which are made of crystals. There are affordable but beautiful crystal rosaries.
A prayer book is also excellent for giving as a communion gift. A concise version of the Holy Bible might also be appropriate.
Of course you can also gift the child with clothing.
Celebration Baptism, Christening and Communion is important
You should always celebrate to commemorate the events of Baptism, Christening and Communion. Those are important moments in the religious life of the child and that significance should be made clear to him/her. You don't need to have an expensive party. Just a few snacks and a modest cake shared with some closed friends will be sufficient.
